Author Lauren Tarshis visits NRE

Lauren Tarshis, editor of Storyworks Magazine and author of the 'I Survived' series visited New Richmond Elementary Dec. 10 to focus on NRE student Isaac Friedman and the support he gets from his school for an article she is doing on Down Syndrome.

Tarshis, who visited the NRE classroom of teacher Judy Schaechter last year via Skype, visited NRE classrooms to discuss her 'I Survived' books and attended a reception for students, parents and NREVSD staff after school.
