NRE raises $1646.74 for cancer program

New Richmond Elementary's Student Council collected $1,646.74 in only 9 days (due to President's Day) during its Pennies for Patients campaign to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

New Richmond Elementary student council members proudly point to the school's Pennies for Patients chart that shows $1646.74 raised for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in only 9 days.

Top classrooms were Julie Winkleman's second grade room with  $331.31, Elizabeth Faulkner's kindergarten class with $232.41, and Beth Kamen's third grad calss with $89.56.

"This is one of the most amounts ever collected during an NRE Pennies for Patients campaign," noted student council advisor Rebecca Woodard. "This campaign was to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society especially for children.  You can go to schoolandyouth.org for more information about this program."

Student Council Officers are Antonia Wills, President, Christine Smith, Vice President, Lynsey Kennedy, Secretary, Jaira Stamper, Secretary. Advisors are Becky Woodard and Tracy Maguire.
